Say hello to Huernia Thuretii! It’s a cool plant with chubby leaves and star-like flowers. Easy to take care of, it’s perfect for plant lovers, whether you’re starting or already a pro. Let’s explore together and learn how to make our Huernia thuretii happy!
Physical Appearance
Huernia Thuretii’s stem is like a strong and green rope. The stem plays a role as the backbone. It keeps the succulent standing straight and has a cool zigzag shape. You’ll see pairs of chubby leaves along the stems, like buddies side by side.
Mention Huernia Thuretii’s stem, we can not skip the leaves. They are like tiny, chubby fingers sticking out from the stems. They come in green with bumpy lines on them. These chubby leaves can hold water, making them fit when the dryness comes. That is interesting!!!

Huernia Thuretii’s flower is like a tiny star with colorful petals, maybe yellow, red, or brown. In the middle, the cool patterns are spots or lines. But here’s the exciting part – it has a strong smell that flies like but may not be humans’ favorite. These flies come over and help the flower make more flowers.
Huernia Thuretii’s roots are like underground supporters. These smart roots tend to spread out in a certain range. They keep the succulent stay upright beside the stem. Each root can absorb water as well as the moisture from the soil and watering.

Care Guide
Light: Find a spot with bright, indirect light. It can handle some direct sunlight, but too much might stress it. Another option you can do is to use growing light indoors. Try to aim for about 6 to 8 hours of indirect sunlight per day. If you provide enough sunlight usually, your succulent surely thrive.
Watering: Let the soil fully dry between waterings. This means checking the soil with your fingers and ensuring it’s dry at least an inch (2.5 cm). Water sparingly but thoroughly. Typically, you can water every 2 to 3 weeks in the growing season. However, you should reduce it to once a month or rarely in dormant seasons. This schedule can be changed based on seasons, environment, and soil.
Soil: Use well-draining soil, like a cactus mix. This helps prevent overwatering and keeps the roots happy. If you are new, you should purchase pre-made soil in store. That will ensure the nutrients and safety of your succulent.
Temperature: Keep it comfy. Aim for temperatures between 60°F to 80°F (15°C to 27°C). Please protect it from drafts and cold temperatures.
Fertilizing: Feed during the growing season (spring and summer) with a diluted, balanced fertilizer. Skip the feeding in fall and winter.
